Indian Independence Day
Indian Independence Day celebrated on August 15. It marks the end of the British rule in 1947 and establishment of Independent Indian nation. It also marks the partition of the one subcontinent into two countries, now called as India and Pakistan.The British rule in India began in 1757, the British comes to India as an East Indian Company and they began exercising control over the country. The East Indian Company ruled India for over 100 years.
But now we celebrate the Independence of the country as Independence Day and it is marked throughout India with flag-raising ceremonies, people sing 'bhakti' songs to respect the freedom fighters. Student celebrates the precious day on their schools and enjoys the day as a national holiday.
Indian Prime minister participates in the flag-raising ceremony at the Red Fort which is located in the Old Delhi and one of the historic monument of India. Then the prime minister delivers a speech in front of the whole nation which gets televised in almost all the channels and discusses the future of the country.
